OVERVIEW
The Billiken field hockey season opened with a setback as SLU fell to Ball State 5-0 in Muncie, Indiana. The Billiken offense was led by Jordan BeSore, Erica Bondoc and Morgan Crowe who each took a shot in the game. 

NOTABLE
• Freshman Jordan BeSore took the first SLU shot of the season, an on goal attempt in the 10th minute. 
• Morgan Crowe also had a shot on goal in the contest. 
• Billiken freshmen Lillian Cossetto and Bailey Foreman split time in the cage. Cossetto played the entire first half while Foreman played the second. Foreman tallied a save.
