THE BASICS

Ciaja Harbison scored a team-high 15 points and added six rebounds and a game-high six assists, but a three-point play with five seconds remaining lifted Fordham to a 56-53 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Saint Louis Sunday afternoon at Chaifetz Arena.

Brooke Flowers had 13 points and nine rebounds for the Billikens, who slipped to 6-10 overall and 1-2 in the A-10. Jordyn Frantz turned in 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks, and Chloe Rice came off the bench to toss in seven points.

Fordham, which extended its winning streak to seven, improved to 12-5, 3-0.

FIRST HALF

Saint Louis trailed 8-4 but finished the first quarter with a 7-1 run to take an 11-9 lead.

The Billikens were in front 17-15 midway through the second quarter, but a 9-0 Fordham spurt put the Rams on top 24-17.

After two Kendra Wilken free throws and a Miya Clark bucket narrowed the gap to three, Fordham scored in the final minute and took a 26-21 lead at intermission.

THIRD QUARTER

Flowers scored six points in a 9-3 run that gave Saint Louis a 30-29 edge.

After Fordham netted six of the next eight points, SLU outscored the Rams 12-4 over the final 3:16 of the period to lead 44-39. Harbison registered seven of the 12 points.

FOURTH QUARTER

There were five lead changes and three ties in the final 10 minutes. Two free throws by Harbison with 33 seconds left created the final deadlock, 53-53.

On Fordham's next possession, Zara Jillings got a tough short shot to fall, was fouled, and finished the three-point play with five seconds remaining. The Billikens advanced the ball to the frontcourt following a timeout but were unable to put up a potential game-tying shot.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES

Saint Louis committed only 10 turnovers.

The Billikens outscored the Rams 10-2 in fast-break points.

Ciaja Harbison's six rebounds tied her career high.

Chloe Rice was 3-of-3 from the field, including a 3-pointer.
