O'FALLON, Ill. – Helped by come-from-behind wins in two singles matches, Saint Louis women's tennis registered its first victory of the season, 4-3 over Southeast Missouri State, Friday afternoon at St. Clair Tennis Club.

The Billikens (1-3) won four singles contests after losing the doubles point to the Redhawks (0-3). Ally McKenzie and Mariluz Rojo overcame first-set losses to win at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. McKenzie defeated Kseniya Zonova 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, while Rojo prevailed against Isabella Krupa 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.

Ariana Rodriguez topped Sneha Sinha 6-3, 7-5 at No. 5, and Alba Salinas downed Manuela Barriga 6-1, 7-5 at No. 6.

The Billikens host Illinois-Springfield Saturday, Feb. 2. First serve at St. Clair Tennis Club is scheduled for 4:45 p.m.
