ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis freshman midfielder Isaiah Parker was named the Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer Rookie of the Week, the league announced today.
 
Parker, who earned the nod for the second time this season, scored a goal and assisted on another in the Billikens' 2-0 victory over Dayton on Saturday. In the first half, he sent a centering pass to Simon Becher who touched it past the Dayton goalkeeper for the eventual game-winning goal.
 
In the second half, Parker scored a highlight-reel goal when he curled a ball in directly off a corner kick to put the game out of reach. He is now tied for third on the Billikens with 10 points (3G, 4A). Last week, Parker was named the No. 2 freshman in the country by Top Drawer Soccer.
 
The Billikens, ranked No. 4 in the Top Drawer Soccer national poll, return to action Saturday when they travel to face George Washington. Kickoff is scheduled for noon (CT).
