ST. LOUIS – After recording three assists in the Billikens' win over George Washington on Saturday, Saint Louis'
John Klein earned several national honors after being named to National Teams of the Week for
College Soccer News and
Top Drawer Soccer.
Â
Also, the
United Soccer Coaches national poll was released Tuesday, and the Billikens check in at No. 10. It is their highest ranking of the season and the first time since 2014 that SLU has been ranked in the top 10.
Â
Klein's three assists against the Colonials tied the school record. The last Billiken to register three assists in a match was
John DiRaimondo in 2005. For the year, Klein leads the NCAA with 15 assists.
Â
The Billikens (11-0-3, 7-0 A-10), who have already clinched the A-10 regular-season title, conclude the regular season this Saturday night against Rhode Island. Game time at Hermann Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
