NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Louis senior first baseman
Sadie Wise is the Atlantic 10 Conference softball Player of the Week for April 12-18, the league office announced Monday.
In addition, Wise was among the players listed in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's "Selected Top Performances."

Wise enjoyed a remarkable week, batting .643 (9-for-14) in a four-game conference series sweep of St. Bonaventure and .588 (10-for-17) in five games overall. She hit safely in every contest, including a pair of three-hit games and a two-hit game vs. the Bonnies.

Wise began the week with 29 career home runs, just one off the school record; she became the Billikens' all-time leader by hitting three homers vs. St. Bonaventure. She compiled a 1.787 OPS, tallied seven RBI, scored seven runs, was 2-for-2 in stolen bases, and did not strike out in her 18 plate appearances.

Last week's performance lifted Wise's batting average to .333. She leads the team in RBI (31) and doubles (eight), has five home runs and three triples, carries a .396 on-base percentage and a .569 slugging percentage, and has committed only one error.

The Billikens play a non-conference game at SIUE Wednesday before hosting George Washington for a four-game A-10 series Saturday and Sunday.
