• Rookie Irmak Gokcen and senior Lily Welti each recorded a double-double, helping Saint Louis knock off Dayton in four sets in an Atlantic 10 Conference match Friday night at Chaifetz Pavilion.
• The Billikens improved to 14-11 on the season and 6-7 in league play, while Dayton moved to 15-11, 9-4.
• Gokcen posted career highs in kills with a match-best 17 and in digs (12). The rookie also added two service aces, bringing her total to 33 on the season. Gokcen posted five kills in each of sets two and four and hit for a .484 attack percentage in the match.
• Welti's double-double was the first of her career. She tallied a season-high 11 kills and a career-best 13 digs.
• Delaney Rice and Jillian Mattingly each registered 10 kills in the contest, while Carlie Rodgers recorded 15 digs.
• The Billikens held UD to -.067 attack percentage in the first frame, helping SLU to a 25-16 set victory.
• Gokcen and Welti combined for nine kills and Rodgers tallied seven digs in SLU's set two win.
• Set three saw six tie scores and four lead changes, but Dayton came away with it, 25-21.
• The Billikens registered 18 kills in the match-clinching set four win, with four players tallying four-plus kills.
