Senior center Brooke Flowers has announced she will return to Saint Louis University and utilize an additional year of eligibility in the 2022-23 season.
"Brooke has been one of the best teammates our program has ever had," head coach Lisa Stone said. "We are extremely excited she has chosen to return for her additional year. Brooke is our leader on and off the floor, and we are thrilled she's coming back for more."
Flowers has been a dominant force in the post the last four seasons for the Billikens, recording 833 points, 902 rebounds and 253 blocked shots.
Flowers is SLU's all-time leader in blocks and ranks second in rebounds. Her average of 3.3 blocks this season is third best in the NCAA, while her 11.3 rebounds rank 14th. With 253 blocks over the past four years, she ranks seventh among active players in NCAA Division I.
The St. Louis native has 26 double-doubles in her career and is one of just two players in the Atlantic 10 Conference who are averaging a double-double this season (10.9 points, 11.3 rebounds).
Flowers was named to the All-Conference third team and All-Defensive team in the 2020-21 season and was tabbed to the All-Rookie team and All-Defensive team as a freshman in 2018-19.
The additional year is a result from the 2020-21 season being affected by COVID-19 and not counting against a student-athlete's eligibility.
