WASHINGTON, D.C. - Saint Louis freshman guard Jahda Denis was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday. 

Denis delivered a standout week, averaging 18 points, four assists, four steals and 2.5 rebounds across two games while shooting 54 percent from the field and 100 percent at the line.

The Montreal, Canada native opened the week with a career-high 24 points in the Billikens' win over St. Bonaventure, shooting 9-of-16 from the field and 2-of-4 from deep. She added four assists, four steals and four rebounds while playing more than 34 minutes.

She followed with 12 points, four assists and one steal against Evansville, finishing 5-of-10 from the floor and 2-of-2 at the stripe. Denis closed the week perfect at the free-throw line (6-for-6) and totaled eight assists and five steals.
