ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis women's basketball head coach
Rebecca Tillett has announced the addition of Keturah Jackson to the Billikens' coaching staff.
Jackson comes to SLU with Atlantic 10 experience, spending the last three seasons at Fordham. She played a key role in player development, defensive implementation and scouting. She worked closely with the Rams' perimeter players and forwards, helping guide an All-Atlantic 10 performer while contributing to recruiting efforts and the program's leadership development initiatives.
"Keturah brings a wealth of coaching and recruiting experience to our staff, along with a strong working knowledge of the Atlantic 10," Tillett said. "She is passionate about the defensive side of the ball and will collaborate with
Frozena Jerro to elevate our team's defensive performance. With head coaching experience, she has had to make game defining decisions. As a student-athlete at Duke, she competed in the Elite Eight giving her insight into what it takes to excel at the highest level. As we continue to recruit players who want to compete at that level and play professionally, Keturah can guide them on the path to making their dreams a reality. She is invested in the growth and development of those in her care on and off the court."
Prior to Fordham, Jackson spent two seasons at Northeastern, helping lead the Huskies to a share of the 2022-23 CAA regular-season title. Northeastern posted a program-record 13 conference wins and a nine-game league winning streak after being projected near the bottom of the league the previous season. Jackson was instrumental in the development of multiple All-CAA selections and assisted with scouting, recruiting and team culture development.
Jackson also served as a special assistant at Duke, where she contributed to scouting reports, film breakdown and game preparation.
Before transitioning to the collegiate level, Jackson built a successful high school coaching career in South Carolina. As head coach at Lower Richland High School, she led her team to three regional championships and a state semifinal appearance while earning three Region V 4A Coach of the Year honors. She also coached four Division I signees. At White Knoll High School, Jackson guided the program to its first playoff appearance and postseason victory.
"I am grateful for this opportunity and excited to begin my journey with SLU," Jackson said. "I've admired Coach Tillett from my time competing against her in the A10 and I'm eager to be under her leadership. She is a proven winner and I'm looking forward to chasing more A10 Championships. Thank you to Chris May, Dr. Janet Oberle, and Coach Tillett for believing in me to carry out the mission of both the athletics department and SLU women's basketball."
She earned her bachelor's in sociology at Duke as a student-athlete. Jackson was a standout defensive player for the Blue Devils. She helped lead Duke to the Elite Eight during the 2009-10 season and an ACC Championship in 2010, all while earning ACC All-Defensive Team honors. Jackson finished her career with 193 steals in 126 games.
