Field Hockey Billikens Defeat Davidson In Overtime

Springfield, Mo. - Saint Louis met East Division Northern Pacific league foe Davidson in a neutral site game in Springfield, Mo., on Sun., Sept. 30 and came home with its third win of the season.

Twenty-six minutes had elapsed off the clock before Davidson's sophomore back Kathleen Fenn scored the first goal of the game giving the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.

After taking the Billikens' only shot in the first half, senior Heather Mattingly netted an unassisted goal to tie the Wildcats just three minutes into the second half of action. Both teams failed to score in the remainder of regulation sending the match into overtime.

With the win, the Bills improve to 3-8 and will face Lindenwood on Sat., Oct. 6, at 12:30 p.m. at the Anheuser-Busch Center in Fenton, Mo.
