The Billikens dropped their final match of the LMU Volleyball Classic, 3-0 to Notre Dame. The Irish downed Saint Louis 30-25, 30-13, 30-19. The Billikens dropped to 4-3, losing all three of their matches during the Classic.
The Billikens played well in game one, but were unable to come up with the lead. SLU hit a respectable .222 with 15 kills, but the Irish countered by hitting a stunning .444. The Bills offense was not nearly as potent in game two as they struggled with a -.033 hitting percentage. The Irish closed out the match with a .393 hitting percentage in game three.
Colleen Hunter was once again the driving for the Billikens. She notched 14 kills on 31 attempts, while Brooke Minniear added six kills. Jessica Kmitta had a team-high six digs while freshman Californian Lauren Boissevain dished out 13 assists. Emily Loomis led Notre Dame with 15 kills on a .556 hitting percentage, committing no errors on 27 attempts. St. Louis native Katie Neff added 11 kills for the Irish.
The Billikens dip to 4-3 on the season, while the Irish improve to 4-2.
