West Chester, Pa. - Kristen Lueders scored on a penalty corner to vault Saint Louis University to a 1-0 triumph over host West Chester University in Atlantic 10 Conference field hockey action Friday afternoon.

Saint Louis (6-10 overall, 2-3 A-10) managed only two shots on the afternoon, but capitalized on one of them when Lueders buried a penalty corner in the 21st minute. Michelle Sinclair and Jill Mueller were credited with an assist on the play.

SLU keeper Amy Wasserman stymied the West Chester (8-8, 1-4 A-10) offense after turning away 11 Golden Rams shots in the contest to earn her first shutout of the season. The Billiken defense also turned aside eight WCU penalty corner chances.

Saint Louis will return to action this Sunday when it travels to Philadelphia to take on La Salle. Game time is set for 10 a.m. (CT)
