OXFORD, Ohio - The Saint Louis field hockey team snapped a four-match losing streak this afternoon, defeating Davidson 2-1, in a neutral site game played in Oxford, Ohio, on the campus of Miami (OH) University.

The Bills (3-4) scored both of their goals in the opening half. Kristin Lueders started the scoring for the Bills at 6:53. She netted a shot off of a penalty corner, with assists from Michelle Sinclair and Jill Mueller. Sinclair would tally the game winner at 22:08, on an unassisted goal.

Davidson (1-3) made the score tight in the final minutes of the game. Emily Davis scored, unassisted, at 64:09, to cut the lead to 2-1, but the Bills would not allow another shot the remainder of the way.

Amy Wasserman was solid again for SLU. She played the entire match, and recorded nine saves, while allowing the one goal. Rachel Kiselewich had 11 saves for Davidson, in a losing effort.

For Lueders it was her second goal in two days and for Mueller, her second assist in the trip to Oxford.

The Bills outshot Davidson 20-13, but trailed in penalty corners 11-7.

Saint Louis returns to action on Fri. Sept. 23 against Louisville, which is ranked 14th in the NFHCA poll released on Sept. 13. The Cardinals will be the third ranked team on the early slate for the Bills, who lost a 2-1 overtime decision to fifth-ranked Michigan State, and lost 4-1 to 14th ranked James Madison, last weekend.
