INDIANAPOLIS -
Saint Louis rookie Lindsey Tamkun (Germantown, Tenn. / Houston) was the only first-place finisher for the Billiken women's squad.
Dahle out-touched the competition in the 1000 free with a time of 9:46.50. His performance was just .02 off the SLU record of 9:46.48 established by Chris Johansen at the 2005 Conference USA Championships. The time was also the fastest by an Atlantic 10 Conference swimmer this season. The freshman also turned in the sixth-best 500-free effort in school annals with a first-place race of 4:45.52.
Other first-place finishers for the men's team were Spencer Murphy (Omaha, Neb. / Creighton Prep) in the 100 back (53.81), Kevin Parker (Germantown, Tenn. / Christian Brothers) in the 200 back (1:58.14).
Meanwhile, Tamkun paced the women's squad with its only first-place performance - in the 100 back. Her time of 59.37 ranks 10th in school history. Though she finished second in the event, Elena Ramirez (Champaign, Ill. / St. Thomas More) posted a 58.17 in the 100 fly, good for seventh all-time at SLU.
Saint Louis returns to action in one week when the Bills host Evansville and South Dakota State at the Simon Recreation Center.
