Final Stats

Philadelphia - Sophomore Nicole Kent tallied for the Saint Louis field hockey squad, but La Salle posted a 5-1 victory on Sunday in Philadelphia in Atlantic 10 Conference action.

Neelam Kumar put La Salle on top in the 12th minute, and the Explorers pushed the margin to two goals a little under four minutes later. Kelsey Shultz had the Billikens' best scoring change, but the La Salle defense kept SLU off the scoreboard. The Explorers scored all five of their goals in the first half.

The Billikens pushed forward for and finally broke through when Lauren Noe fed Kent for her third goal of the season. The Billikens had one more shot in the second half to cut into the gap, but SLU was held to its lone score. Katherine Deem came up with 15 saves for the Billikens.

SLU falls to 1-13, 0-3 in the Atlantic 10. La Salle improves to 6-10, 1-2 in the A-10.
