The Saint Louis University men's and women's swimming teams won eight events apiece and posted easy victories over IUPUI Sunday at Simon Recreation Center. The Billiken men defeated the Jaguars 119-66, while the SLU women registered a 114-71 triumph.
Mike Kelly and Stephen Sheridan were double winners for the men's team. Kelly won the 200 free (1:48.43) and 500 free (4:55.56), and Sheridan touched first in the 50 free (22.48) and 100 free (49.34). Will Butzke won the 100 fly (53.68), and Brian Brasser captured the 100 breast (1:02.07).
Saint Louis won both men's relays. B.J. Sayre joined Brasser, Butzke and Sheridan in the 200 medley relay (1:39.07), while Kelly, David Morrison, Adam Walsh teamed to claim the 200 free relay (1:30.85).
Katie Kolster led the SLU women with victories in the 200 free (2:01.05) and 500 free (5:23.24). She was joined on the winner's stand by Lindsey Tamkun in the 100 back (1:03.55).
The Billiken women matched their male teammates by sweeping the relays. Tamkun, Hagar and Kopec were joined by Kaitlyn Adams in the 200 medley relay (1:55.49). Maggie Brabbins, Kopec, Elizabeth Molloy and Kolster were victorious in the 200 free relay (1:44.18).
The Billikens are back in action at Simon Rec Dec. 4, hosting the Lindenwood men and women and the Stephens College women at 5 p.m.
