CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Walsh (Chesterfield, Mo./Whitfield) made a school-record 14 saves for Saint Louis Saturday night in the Billikens' 1-0 Atlantic 10 Conference loss to Charlotte at Transamerica Field.

Walsh's 14 stops, 11 of which came in the second half, tie for the most by an A-10 keeper this season. Her previous career high was eight against Iowa.

Following a scoreless first half, Charlotte's Kirby Stenard tallied the only goal of the game at the 55:40 mark. The unassisted goal was Stenard's third marker of the season.

Charlotte improved to 13-4 overall and 6-1 in the A-10, while Saint Louis slipped to 3-9-5, 2-5.

Despite the loss, Saint Louis still has a chance to qualify for the six-team A-10 Championship tournament. The Bills conclude the regular season next weekend in Philadelphia, where they take on Temple Friday afternoon and Saint Joseph's Sunday afternoon.
