Louisville, Ky. - Nikki Auker scored in the second minute of play providing all the offense No. 10 Louisville needed to down Saint Louis 7-0 in field hockey action Sunday afternoon.

Nicole Youman began the sequence with a shot on goal after a penalty corner, which was saved by Billiken keeper Alex LaBarge. However, Auker collected the rebound and tucked the ball into the cage for a 1-0 Louisville lead. Ten minutes later, the Cardinals struck again for a 2-0 advantage on a score by Simone Attles. Louisville built the margin to 4-0 by intermission.

The Louisville defense kept the Billiken attack bottled up, as SLU was unable to mount a serious offensive push. Katherine Deem came on in relief in goal and finished with six saves. Laken Gehris recorded a defensive save, and Brooke Weaver also had a stop on the defensive end to prevent another UofL score.

The Billikens remain winless on the season, while the Cardinals improve to 8-3.
