Muncie, ind. - The Saint Louis field hockey team was edged 1-0 in overtime when Robert Morris' Kylie McKain scored with just under four minutes left to play for the game's only score.

The Billikens put three shots on goal in the first half, but RMU goalie Stephanie Seeley came up with saves on all three chances. Billiken keeper Alex LaBarge faced three shots but also blanked the Colonials through halftime. The Bills had two strong scoring opportunities in the second half, but the RMU defense kept SLU scoreless. RMU pressed forward on its offensive chances and threw four shots at the Billiken goal. LaBarge kicked two more shots aside as the game moved on into overtime.

The Billikens earned the first penalty corner in the extra session en route to launching three shots in OT. RMU earned its penalty corner and converted for the lone tally of the game. Colonial keeper Seeley registered five saves to keep the Billikens off the scoreboard. The overtime contest was the first for the Billikens since Sept. 27, 2009, against Bellarmine. SLU had five shots on goal versus four for RMU.

The Billikens dip to 0-3, while Robert Morris ups its record to 1-2. The Billikens take on Ball State Sunday in a noon (CT) start in Muncie, Ind.
