MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Courtney Webb scored a game-high 21 points in her Saint Louis debut, but a late Memphis 3-pointer gave the Tigers a 63-60 season-opening victory Friday night at FedEx Forum.

Webb was 9-of-16 from the field, including a 3-pointer, and 2-of-2 from the foul line. She added five rebounds. Jacy Bradley had 10 points, six rebounds and a game-high six assists, while Lorreal Jones narrowly missed a double-double with eight points and 10 rebounds, including five on the offensive boards.

Kim Bee and Mallory Eggert collected seven rebounds apiece for the Billikens, who earned a 50-41 advantage on the boards. Bee and Eggert grabbed five and four offensive caroms, respectively, part of SLU's 23 offensive boards. Bee added a game-high four blocks in her first game as a Billiken.

Memphis got 17 points, six rebounds and five assists from Brittany Carter, 14 points and six boards from Ramses Lonlack, and 12 points and eight rebounds from Jasmine Lee. Ann Jones chipped in eight rebounds.

The Billikens led 49-38 when Webb hit a jumper with 12:27 to play, but Memphis put together a 16-5 run and tied the game at 54 on Carter's three-point play at the 5:03 mark.

Bradley put SLU back on top when she rebounded her own miss and scored with 4:06 left. Nicole Dickson made a free throw, and Lee's layup gave Memphis its first lead since the 13:37 mark of the first half, 57-56, with 3:41 remaining.

Bradley was fouled near the end of the shot clock on the Bills' next possession, and her two free throws put SLU back on top 58-57. A Carter layup gave Memphis the lead again, and Lee made the back end of a two-shot foul to make it 60-58 Tigers with 2:05 to play.

Memphis made a steal on the Billikens' ensuing possession, but Lee missed both free throws after being fouled. Webb then sank a layup to even the count at 60 with 1:14 remaining.

Saint Louis rebounded a Memphis miss but later missed the front end of a 1-and-1. Bilqis Abdul-Qaadir then hit a 3-pointer with five seconds left to give the Tigers the victory.

The Billikens took a 12-11 edge on a Webb jumper with 13:21 left in the first half, and the lead floated between one and five points for the next 10 minutes. Baskets by Eggert, Desirae Ball and Jenna Mueller turned a 29-26 lead into a 35-26 cushion, and SLU took its first double-digit lead, 39-29, when Janisha Gearlds sank two free throws with 1:51 left. Saint Louis led 41-33 at the break.
