ST. LOUIS - The Saint Louis Volleyball incoming freshmen have finished their high school careers and collected numerous accolades.
Meredith Boe, a setter from Bloomington, Ill., was named to the PrepVolleyball.com Senior Aces list for 2012, marking her as one of the top 150 high school volleyball players in the nation. Boe also was a finalist for the Andi Collins Award, given to the top senior setter in the nation. She finished her senior season averaging 9.6 assists per game. Her efforts on the court earned her Pantagraph Player of the Year honors along with Chicago Tribune All-State honorable mention and 30th News-Gazette All-State second-team nods. In her four-year prep career, Boe set the Central Catholic school record with 2,151 career assists.
Anna Church, an outside hitter from Fairway, Kan., was named to the Kansas Volleyball Association Class 5A All-State second team. As a senior, she notched 366 digs, 256 kills and 35 service aces.
Lindsey Dinkelacker , an outside hitter from Cincinnati, Ohio, earned All-America honors from PrepVolleyball.com. She also was named to the 2011 All-Ohio first team. Dinkelacker accumulated 40 blocks and 287 kills with a .340 kill percentage in 2011 as a senior.
Megan Gilbert , a middle blocker from Tripoli, Iowa, was named to the 2011 Under Armour All-America team. She also earned All-America accolades from PrepVolleyball.com, where she joined fellow signee Meredith Boe on the Senior Aces list. Gilbert recorded 584 kills, 273 digs, 101 blocks and 60 service aces as a senior. She earned her fourth consecutive first-team All-Iowa selection and was named the 2011 Iowa Class 1A Player of the Year. In addition to her on-court accolades, Gilbert has maintained a 3.95 GPA in the classroom.
