ST. LOUIS – Three different players scored for Saint Louis women's soccer in the Billikens' 3-1 victory over Southeast Missouri State in an exhibition game Wednesday evening at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
Cristina Rodriguez gave SLU a 1-0 lead with a goal at the 11:02 mark. Rodriguez fired a shot from 10 yards away that found the lower left corner of the net.
The Billikens made it 2-0 on a goal by Kirsten Clemens at 33:19. Clemens won a battle for the ball with SEMO goalkeeper Kindra Lierz from 12 yards out and took advantage of an empty net.
Danielle Tolmais wrapped up the Saint Louis scoring at 62:28. Tolmais took a long cross from Lauren Tondl at the far post and nudged the ball in from the doorstep for a 3-0 Billiken cushion.
SEMO got on the board at 68:11. Natasha Minor took a pass from outside the box and connected on a shot inside the far post.
Hanna Benben and Tristin Stuteville played the first half and second half, respectively, in goal for the Billikens. Benben made three saves, while Stuteville recorded four stops. Lierz picked up two saves for the Redhawks.
The Billikens play their second and final exhibition contest Friday, Aug. 15, at Arkansas State. Game time in Jonesboro, Arkansas, is 5 p.m.
