CHICAGO – Lindsay Elking tallied two goals and an assist for a career-high five points to lead Saint Louis past Illinois-Chicago 4-2 Friday night at Flames Field.

Cristina Rodriguez contributed a goal and an assist for the Billikens (4-4), while Danielle Manning registered her first collegiate goal. Kirsten Clemens and Danielle Tolmais recorded an assist apiece. The four goals tied Saint Louis' season high.

Elking, whose performance lifted her into the SLU scoring lead (11 points) and tied her for the team lead in goals (four), put the Billikens on the board at 22:16 with an assist from Rodriguez. She made it 2-0 at 30:27, assisted by Clemens, and assisted on Manning's goal at 39:31 that gave Saint Louis a 3-0 halftime cushion. Manning became the seventh Billiken to notch a goal this season.

An early second-half goal by Sydney Wright (Jasmin Carrera assist) gave UIC (1-7) some life. But SLU retaliated just 20 seconds later as Rodriguez (Tolmais assist) chalked up her second goal of the year at 50:46.

UIC's Kendall Wilde scored an unassisted goal at 83:22 to provide the final score.

Hanna Benben played the first half and made three saves to pick up her fourth victory. The Billikens out-shot the Flames 21-7 overall and 14-5 in shots on goal.

The Billikens square off against Western Michigan in Kalamazoo, Mich., Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT).
