THE BASICS
--The Saint Louis University women's basketball team set school records for total wins and conference wins with an 88-51 thrashing of Atlantic 10 Conference opponent Davidson Monday at Chaifetz Arena.
--The Billikens improved to 19-6 overall and 9-3 in the A-10, good for a third-place tie with St. Bonaventure. Davidson fell to 11-15, 5-8.
HOW IT HAPPENED
--Davidson scored the first basket of the game, but following two ties, Saint Louis took the lead for good on a Jackie Kemph three-point play that made it 7-4 Billikens.
--That ignited a 29-8 run that put SLU in front 33-12 midway through the second quarter. The Bills led 46-24 at intermission.
--Saint Louis scored on its second possession of the third quarter to extend its advantage to 24 points, and the lead dipped below that margin just once the remainder of the game.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
--The 37-point margin of victory is Saint Louis' largest of the season. SLU has won four games by 30 or more points this season, the most since the 2002-03 Billikens tallied the same number.
--The 88 points are the most scored by the Billikens in an A-10 game this season, as well as the third-most points for SLU against an A-10 opponent in the Billikens' 11 years in the conference.
--The Billikens shot 50 percent (30-of-60) from the field, reaching the 50-percent mark for a second time in three games and a fifth time overall this season.
--Saint Louis held Davidson to 26 percent (14-of-55) from the field overall and 31.3 percent (5-of-16) from beyond the arc.
--SLU's 23 assists tied a season high vs. an A-10 opponent.
--The Bills earned a 43-36 rebounding edge and posted big advantages in points in the paint (44-8), bench points (47-12) and fast-break points (10-0).
--Saint Louis forced 18 Davidson turnovers, with 11 of those miscues coming on 11 Billiken steals, one shy of their season high. SLU committed just 11 turnovers.
--Jackie Kemph registered her fourth double-double of the season and the fifth of her career. Kemph scored 19 points, going 5-of-8 from the field and tying her career best of nine free throws made (9-of-9), and equaled her career high of 14 assists.
--Aaliyah Covington (5-of-6 FG, 3-of-4 3-pointers, 6-of-8 FT) tied for game-high scoring honors with 19 points.
--Maddison Gits (6-of-9 FG) scored 12 points and pulled down six rebounds.
--Denisha Womack (4-of-6 FG) tossed in 11 points.
--Jamesia Price tied her career high and her own team season high (recorded in the first meeting with Davidson in January) with five steals. Price needs just three thefts to become SLU's career leader.
--Olivia Jakubicek hauled in six rebounds.
DAVIDSON LEADERS
--Mackenzie Latt, 14 points, seven rebounds; Hannah Early, 12 points; Dakota Dukes, eight points (8-of-8 FT).
