Saint Louis outside hitter Danielle Rygelski led all hitters with 16 kills as the Billikens dropped the final match of the Bluegrass Battle 3-0 to host Kentucky. Rygelski earned All-Tournament plaudits for the third consecutive tournament this season. The loss drops SLU to 2-8 overall this season.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
- Danielle Rygelski opened the match strong for the Billikens, notching five kills in the opening set. However, the Wildcats topped SLU 25-21.
- In the second set, Rygelski again led SLU with four kills, but the Billikens fell 13-25.
- In the decisive third set, Rygelski led SLU in both kills (seven) and digs (four), but could not hold off UK as they won the match with a 25-19 third set.
- Mackenzie Long led all SLU defenders with 11 digs in the match.
- Maddie Oh notched SLU's lone ace of the match.
- Camila Rivas was the top setter for SLU, collecting 18 assists.
