OVERVIEW
Saint Louis dropped its first match of the Billiken Invitational 3-2 to Murray State. Danielle Rygelski led the Billikens with 26 kills. Senior Maryann Ejele set career highs in kills (11), blocks (4) and attack percentage (.625). The loss drops SLU to 3-9 overall this season.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
- The Billikens started strong in the first, with Danielle Rygelski pacing the attack with five kills. However Murray State captured the first set 26-24.
- In the second set, Rygelski recorded another five kills, but the Racers took set two 25-19.
- Saint Louis came of the the break on a roll, with Rygelski tallying eight kills in the set and Maryann Ejele adding four kills on six swings. SLU won the set 25-20.
- The fourth set was the largest margin of victory in the match (12 points). As a team, SLU hit .486 in the set and forced the fifth set 25-13.
- In the final set, Ejele and Rygelski had two kills apiece, but a .500 attack percentage from MSU gave the Racers the match 15-10.
- It was the third time this season that Rygelski has notched 26 kills, the second-highest single match total for SLU this season.
- Ejele recorded 11 kills, four blocks and a .625 attack percentage. Her 11 kills are a higher total than any season total from her first three years with the Billikens. 
- Rygelski added 15 digs for her sixth double-double of the season. 
- Ashley Gagen came off the bench as SLU's setter, recording 38 assists, a career-best.
