Frantz hit a 3-pointer on the Billikens' initial second-quarter possession, but George Washington outscored SLU 12-6 the rest of the way and took a 24-23 edge to the locker room.

SECOND HALF

GW stretched its lead to three with a pair of early third-quarter free throws, but Saint Louis started a 12-2 spurt on its next possession.

Harbison scored the last nine points of the run, including two 3-pointers, and it was 35-28 Billikens with 4:46 remaining.

The Colonials narrowed the margin to four, but Kerri McMahan buried a triple from the corner at the buzzer to give the Billikens a 43-36 advantage.

McMahan's trey sparked another 12-2 flurry that put Saint Louis in firm command, 52-38, with 7:34 to play. She recorded the Bills' first basket of the fourth quarter, Flowers scored on consecutive possessions, and Harbison punctuated the run with a three-point play.

GW drew to within 10 points, 54-44, with 5:32 remaining. However, the Colonials could not take advantage of three straight empty possessions for SLU, and 3-pointers by Harbison and Frantz secured the victory for the Billikens.
