SETTING THE SCENE

THINGS TO KNOW
-- Saint Louis returns to Chaifetz Arena for its first of two consecutive games on its home court.
-- The Billikens enter the weekend seventh in the league standings with an 8-7 record. Saint Louis is among a group of teams fighting for a top-four spot in the league standings, which would give the Bills a double-bye in the A-10 Championship. George Mason is in a tie for fourth with a 10-5 league record.
-- Saint Louis is coming off a 71-65 loss at VCU on Tuesday. The Billikens battled and were within three of the lead with less than 30 seconds left. Four Billikens scored in double-figures, led by Hasahn French and Tramaine Isabell Jr. with 16 points apiece.
-- Senior guard Javon Bess leads the Billikens in scoring with 15.5 ppg, 10th in the A-10. In A-10 games only, he is seventh in the league with 15.5 ppg. He reached 1,000 career points in the Billikens' last game.
-- Sophomore forward Hasahn French leads the Billikens with nine double-doubles. He is second in the Atlantic 10 in rebounding with 8.5 rpg.
-- Sophomore guard Jordan Goodwin averages 10.1 ppg and leads SLU in assists (102) and steals (55; third in A-10). He pulls down 7.0 rpg, second on the team.
-- Senior guard Tramaine Isabell Jr. is second on the Billikens in scoring (12.0 ppg) and assists (90).
-- The Billikens are the A-10 leaders in rebounding margin at +6.1. SLU is especially strong on the offensive glass as it posts 13.3 orpg, 14th in the NCAA.

SCOUTING GEORGE MASON
-- The Patriots enter Saturday's game 16-12 overall and 10-5 in A-10 play.
-- The 10 A-10 wins are the most since George Mason joined the conference six years ago.
-- Junior Justin Kier leads the Patriots in scoring (14.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.6 rag).
-- Senior Otis Livingston II averages 13.6 ppg and has scored more than 1,800 in his career. He leads the nation in consecutive starts made (127).
-- George Mason is coming off a 77-63 win against Richmond. The Patriots shot 10-of-18 from 3-point range in the victory.
-- Head coach Dave Paulsen is in his fourth season at Mason and his 25th overall.
