Box Score Saint Louis fell to SEMO 4-8 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on Monday night. The RedHawks brought the season-series to 1-1 with the victory. SLU won the first meeting 15-6 on April 9.
Ben Livorsi smoked his fourth home run of the year over the wall in right center during the top of the fifth inning. The 410 foot bomb left his bat at 101 mph. Livorsi finished the night 1-2 with one RBI, one run and two walks.
Senior Cole Dubet also hit his fourth home run of 2019. His solo shot to center in the top of the sixth allowed him to go 1-4 with one RBI and one run scored.
Colin Townsend and Ryan Patel both threw two scoreless innings of relief, and neither of them allowed the RedHawks to reach via a hit in the final four frames. Townsend struck out three, and the only runner to reach against him was hit by the pitch. Patel had one strikeout and one walk.
The Billikens are back at home on Wednesday when Murray State comes to town for a one-game set beginning at 5 p.m. CT.
