Billikens Compete at Meyo Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Saint Louis track and field competed at the Meyo Invitational at the University of Notre Dame on this weekend.

Numerous Billikens achieved personal bests in the meet. In the men's 600 meters, Luke Schaefer (1:22.85) and Aidan Martin (1:25.53) each ran PRs. Patrick Donovan turned in a 5,000-meter PR of 14:47.06. In the 3,000 meters, Toby Gillen (8:25.69), Firaol Ahmed (8:34.71) and Patrick Donovan (8:40.53) all registered PRs.
 
Harrison Martinenko posted a new PR in the mile with a time of 4:12.09, while Malik Stewart PR'd in the 800 meters (1:54.06.). Diego Collado had a shot put PR of 15.34 meters.
 
On the women's side, two Billikens posted a PR in the 5,000 meters – Carly Sear (17:42.97) and Emily Sipp (18:13.58). Theresa Lampe qualified for the finals in the 60-meter hurdles and posted a PR of 9.04.
 
In the 400 meters, Emily Nichols (58.14) had her top collegiate time in the event.
 
The Billikens hit the track once more before the A-10 Championships, as they travel to Charleston, Illinois, on Feb. 18 for the Friday Night Special at Eastern Illinois University.
