Saint Louis junior RHP Scott Youngbrandt is the Atlantic 10 Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced today.

Youngbrandt tossed his first career complete game Wednesday in SLU's 4-1 win over Morehead State. He surrendered just five hits and one run, while striking out a career-high eight batters and walking no one.

After allowing back-to-back doubles to begin the game, the junior gave up just three singles throughout the remainder of the outing.

The award marks the second time Youngbrandt has received the honor in his career. He also earned the accolade on March 16 of last season.

Youngbrandt is slated to take the bump for the Billikens in Tuesday's contest at Missouri State.
