ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University interim head baseball coach
Miles Miller announced the addition of three signees to the Billikens' 2026 class:infielder Craig Ringe, utility infielder/outfielder Logan Sutton and right-handed pitcher Max McKenna.
"Our staff is excited to add this group to our program next fall," said Miller. "They all bring qualities that we value on and off the field, as well as in the classroom. We look forward to them bringing immediate energy to our club and becoming a core group we can build around in the future."
Ringe, a 6-foot-1 infielder from Eureka High School in Eureka, Mo., brings strong offensive and defensive credentials. He earned all-conference honors as a third baseman after hitting .375 in 2025 and secured the league's Gold Glove award. With Legacy Baseball, he helped his club capture four Play9 championships from 2023 to 2025, hitting .380 in 2023 and .315 with four home runs in 2025. Academically, he earned Academic All-State honors and the Superintendent All-Academic Certificate. Ringe follows a strong family baseball legacy — his father, Craig Ringe Jr., played at the University of Central Missouri, is a member of the UCM Baseball Hall of Fame and was drafted by the Texas Rangers in 2002.
Miller on Ringe: "Craig is an impactful addition to our infield on both sides of the ball. He is a physically strong player who brings the potential to hit for power and play on the left side of the infield for us. He has a great feel for the game, and he is a leader. We expect him to fit in right away."
Sutton, a 5-foot-11 shortstop, second baseman and outfielder from Liberty High School in Kansas City, Mo., is a first-team all-state infielder and the Suburban Red Conference Player of the Year. He hit .405 with six home runs and posted a .982 fielding percentage at shortstop during his junior season. With the 2026 Prodigy Prospects, he hit .396 with five home runs and recorded a .956 fielding percentage during a 20-13 summer slate. Sutton is a National Honor Society member and earned Academic All-State Honors. His mom played basketball and SEMO and Northwest, and his dad played football at Northwest.
Miller on Sutton: "Logan is a premier athlete who brings an exciting style of play to our program. He is athletic enough to play multiple positions at a high level and offensively he has a combination of power and speed that will allow him to be a contributor to our lineup sooner than later."
McKenna, a 6-foot-4 right-hander from Shawnee Mission South High School in Leawood, Kan., joins SLU after a standout prep career that includes throwing a perfect game. He earned multiple honorable-mention awards, contributed to a signature win over previously undefeated Olathe West and helped lead the Inevitable A's to a WWBA Midwest championship. Off the field, McKenna earned honor roll recognition and student-athlete of the month honors.
Miller on McKenna: "Max brings an advanced arsenal to our pitching staff with the physical ability to develop into a frontline arm for us. He is competitive and has shown that he can make pitches in big spots. He can immediately help us on the mound, and we are excited to get him to campus."
