Billikens Fall To Arizona State At Southwest Texas Tournament

San Marcos, Texas - The Saint Louis University volleyball team saw its two-match winning streak come to an end at the hands of 1999 NCAA Tournament team Arizona State in the first match of the Southwest Texas State Tournament on Friday. The Bills fell 3-15, 15-17, 16-14, 3-15.

Colleen Hunter led the Billikens with her fourth-straight double-double on the season, tallying 13 kills and 11 digs to go along with four blocks. Ember Knobeloch added seven kills while Brooke Minniear chipped in six. Jessica Moss led SLU defensively with 13 digs and Minniear added 10 digs. Sun Devil standout Amanda Burbridge had a match-high 18 kills and added 16 digs.

The Billikens hit a season-low .068 while Arizona State posted a .304 hitting percentage. The Sun Devils hit .500 in winning the first game and .493 in taking the fourth. Saint Louis falls to 2-2 on the season, while Arizona State evened its record at 2-2.

The Billikens face host Southwest Texas State (5-0) later this evening.
