Final Stats

Louisville, Ky. - The Saint Louis softball team took a 1-0 lead against No. 12 Michigan, but for the second straight outing, the Wolverines rallied and took a 3-2 decision in the second day of the University of Louisville Invitational.

Erin Jeffery scored on an RBI by Adrie Bogaars to hand the Billikens a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. However, Michigan added two runs in the third to take the lead. The Wolverines added a run in the fifth for a 3-1 lead. Pitcher Heather Hubert plated Beth Yagge as the Bills pulled to 3-2, but could not bring across the game-tying run.

Jeffery had two hits, including a double, to lead the Billikens. Hubert allowed just six hits and the Billikens outhit Michigan 8 to 6. Nicole Motycka struck out five and picked up the win.

The Billikens fall to 12-9 while Michigan improves to 19-6.
