Game 1 Box Score | Game 2 Box Score

Martin, Tenn. - Nicole Bohnenstiehl and Adrie Bogaars homered for Saint Louis University to power the Billikens to a softball sweep over Tennessee-Martin on Tuesday. The Bills won game one 2-1 and game two 5-1. The home runs were the fifth on the season for both players, tying the single-season school record.

Game one was scoreless through five games until Nicole Bohnenstiehl launched a two-run homer with two outs to give the Billikens the offense they would need. Freshman Adrienne May led the inning off with an infield single. After two straight outs, it appeared that SLU would strand May. But, Bohnenstiehl homered to left field for a 2-0 Billiken lead. UT-Martin got a run back on a sac fly by Sarah Davis in the bottom of the sixth. But the Skyhawks could not tie the game in the seventh. Heather Hubert tied her season-high with seven strikeouts to win her ninth game of the season.

In game two, UT-Martin took a 1-0 in the bottom of the first on a solo homer by Meredith Ramsey. But the Billikens answered with three runs in the top of the second and went on to complete the doubleheader sweep. Adrie Bogaars homered to left leading off the third to push the Billiken advantage to 4-1. The Billikens added an insurance run in the seventh when Bohnenstiehl doubled to plate pinch hitter Kristen Rossi. Bohnenstiehl struck out nine batters to notch the win and held UTM to just four hits. The Billikens out-hit the Skyhawks 9-4 in game two.

The Billikens improve to 15-19 while the Skyhawks drop to 17-22.
