Saint Louis (0-10, 0-3 NorPac) was outshot 18-7 and outcornered 10-2 in the 3-0 shutout to SMS (1-8).
Solid offensive plays continue to hamper the Billikens' ability to score while frustrating the players and the coach. There have been some good passes, but the follow-ups are missing.
Sophomore goalkeeper Julie Moeckel made eight saves assisted by freshman Michelle Sinclair with a defensive save in the game. SMS recorded four saves on the Bills seven shots.
The Bears lead 2-0 in the first half with goals by Abbey Rolfe (unassisted) and Liz Miyashita with an assist by Amanda Hanson. Rolfe scored her second while 39:08 had ticked off the clock with the assist from Adrien Trumpy.
Saint Louis returns home on Sat., Oct. 11, when it hosts NorPac foe Davidson at 3 p.m. at the A-B Center.
