Final Stats

Bloomington, Ind. - The Saint Louis University volleyball team closed out action at Indiana's IU Credit Union Tournament on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Austin Peay. Game scores were 30-24, 21-30, 30-24, 30-22. The Billikens improve to 6-9 overall while Austin Peay falls to 5-7.

"Austin Peay is an excellent passing team but we started digging the ball well," head coach Marilyn Nolen said. "We started playing well, especially starting game three, and picked up our blocking. Our offense came around and Kayla Kmitta sparked us with their kills."

The Billikens hit .280 as a team and held the Lady Govs to only a .163 hitting percentage. The SLU defense had eight more digs, holding an 86-78 advantage, and posted 9.0 team blocks. Kayla Kmitta had a match-high 15 kills and hit .393. Setter Erin McClanahan completed the match with 45 assists and a match-high 17 digs. The Billikens placed five in double-figure digs.
