What is your favorite childhood memory? Winning my first race when I was 5 for my summer league team

At what point, before coming to SLU, did you start to believe that you could compete athletically at the collegiate level, and why? My junior year when I got to compete in the state meet

What do you consider to be the best thing you've done to help another person? I carried my friend after he broke his ankle.

What does it mean to you to be a Billiken? It means showing school spirit and belonging to such a pristine university

What person outside the sports world do you admire most, and why? My older brother, because I always looked up to him when I was young and still do.

What is the most significant way you have changed since coming to SLU? I have realized how much hard work it takes to get the results I want.

Do you think you could ever be a coach, and why or why not? Yes, because I have such a passion for this sport and love to share my experiences with younger kids

What is your most cherished material possession, and why? My blue SLU hat that I bought once I new I wanted to come here.

What is the most important thing you've learned from athletic competition? You get out of it what you put into it.

What is one thing about you that people would be surprised to discover? I am an Eagle Scout.

What is your favorite motivational saying or expression? "You still have work to do." - My father

What is your best talent other than your sport? Frisbee golf

What has been your most memorable vacation? When my whole family went to the Outer Banks in 2007

Best joke you have pulled (or had pulled on you)? I took my friend's suit before a meet and he had to wear a quit four sizes too small.

Who is the most famous person you have ever met? Ryan Lochte

What sporting event do you most want to see in person? The Olympics

If you could go back in time, what sporting event would you like to see happen again? Jesse Owens competing in the 1936 Summer Olympics

What famous person are you tired of hearing and reading about? Brett Favre

What skill do you wish you possessed? Coordination

What is the strangest thing you have been asked to autograph? A toe

What was your summer job in high school? Lifeguard

What has been your best day as a Billiken student-athlete? The conference meet last season when I qualified for the 100 breast final

What is the toughest thing about being a college student-athlete? Juggling homework, meets and practice

What is something you have to do before every meet? Play billiards with floor mates Darren and Dan to relax

What is something you've always wanted to be able to do? I wish I was a good basketball player.

Who is your closest friend on another SLU team? Brian McDaniel from the club rugby team

Who is the teammate that is most like your coach and why? Eric Anderson, because they are related

What do you want to do after you graduate? I would love to continue swimming, but realistically I want to work at GE Aviation in Cincinnati.

Where do you hope to be and what do you hope to be doing in 10 years? I hope I have a steady job.

What is something you just can't get enough of? Watching TV

If you could swim against or with anyone (living or dead), who would it be? Ryan Lochte

What is playing on your iPod right now? "Point of No Return" by Immortal Technique
