ST. LOUIS - Brittney Cloudy and Dahmar Smiles completed their successful outdoor track and field seasons at the NCAA West Preliminary Meet at Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas.

Cloudy competed in the triple jump finished 31st with a mark of 40-6.25. Smiles qualified for the quarterfinals in the 110-meter hurdles and matched his own school-record with a time of 14.02, which was 17th overall. They would have had to finish in the top 12 in order to advance to the NCAA Championships.

Cloudy is a three-time (2009 and 2010 indoor; 2010 outdoor) Atlantic 10 Conference champion in the triple jump. Earlier this season at the Drake Relays, she surpassed her own school record in the event with a leap of 41-8.

Smiles claimed the 110-meter hurdles A-10 crown and also finished second in the 400-meter hurdles at the A-10 Championships. He holds the school record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.02.
