Billikens Drop Rubber Match at George Mason

ST. LOUIS - The Saint Louis baseball team fell to the George Mason Patriots 9-2 in the rubber match of the series. Josh Moore (3-2) took the loss as SLU falls to 24-17 overall and 12-5 in conference games. 

The Bills put the ball in play most of the game, tallying seven hits and only striking out three times in the contest. Of the 27 outs recorded against Saint Louis, 15 were fly balls.

The Billiken bench played well in the later innings, with super senior A.J. VanderVorste going 1-1 with a run scored and Drew Curtis going 2-2 with a run scored. 

Saint Louis will return to the Billiken Sports Center on Tuesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. when Eastern Illinois comes to town for a mid-week game.
