Box Score ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis allowed eight runs in the eighth inning, eventually losing to Davidson 10-9 in 11 innings. Thompson Geron (0-1) was hit with the loss. The Billikens fall to 16-10 overall and 3-2 in Atlantic 10 games.
The Billikens scored early and often against the Wildcats. Saint Louis scored three runs in the first, three in the second, two in the sixth and one in the seventh to take a 9-0 lead to the eighth inning.
In the eighth, Davidson rallied for eight runs on six hits. It matches the most runs in an inning allowed by the Billikens this season (second inning, March 24 at SEMO).
Davidson tied the game in the bottom of the ninth and hit a walk-off single in the 11th.
Colton Frabasilio was SLU's top performer at the plate, going 3-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs. He now has eight RBIs in two games at Davidson. This season, Frabasilio has four games of three RBIs or more.
Braxton Martinez also was strong, hitting two doubles in the contest. Josh Bunselmeyer drew three walks, matching a season high for Saint Louis.
Josh Moore was the starting pitcher for the Bills, and threw six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out six.
