OVERVIEW
Saint Louis baseball clinched a berth in the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship with an 11-1 victory over the visiting George Washington Colonials. Senior starting pitcher Matt Eckelman picked up his ninth victory of the season, matching the SLU single season record, last achieved in 2010 by Al Alemann and Bryant Cotton. Eckelman also moves to second all-time with 24 career wins. The win moves Saint Louis to 23-29 overall and 13-9 in Atlantic 10 games.

- Matt Eckelman picked up his ninth win of the season. He is the fifth Billiken to achieve a school-record nine wins.
- Eckelman also moved to second all-time with 24 career victories, tying Clay Smith. The career record is 27 (Alex Alemann (2009-13).

Braxton Martinez was SLU's top hitter, going 4-for-5 at the plate with a double. It was the 50th double of his career, making him the sixth Billiken to surpass 50 doubles.
- Martinez and Parker Sniatynski each had multi-hit games, the 20th of the season for each.

Michael Bozarth was 1-for-4 in the game with a double, but also stole three bases. He now has 25 steals this season, sixth on SLU's single season list.
- Bozarth has 72 steals in his career, third all-time at Saint Louis.
- Also on the mound was Josh Moore, who recorded his first career save and notched five strikeouts. He is up to 171 in his career, 10th all-time at Saint Louis.
