Cherico delivered a dominant performance Friday at George Washington, tossing a complete-game shutout to lead Saint Louis to the win. The senior right-hander was in control from the first pitch to the final out, allowing just two hits and two walks over 9.0 innings.

The Ridgefield, Connecticut, native matched his career high with 10 strikeouts, overpowering GW hitters while keeping them off balance throughout the game. The win improved him to 3-3 on the season and marked the first complete game of his career.

His effort also etched his name in the program record book, as the complete-game shutout was the first by a Billiken since 2021.
