BILLIKENS SET NEW WIN-STREAK RECORD

Box Score

SAINT LOUIS - [BOX SCORE] To call it a turnaround may be an understatement for Saint Louis University Baseball. After beginning the season just 1-7, the Billikens have put together 14 consecutive wins after a 10-0 victory over Saint Joseph's on Sunday.

Saint Louis (15-7, 3-0 A-10) scored early and often as the team became the first in the history of the program to rattle-off 14 wins in a row. Nick Reeser went 4-5 in the effort and set a new career-high for hits in a game.

Parker Sniatynski got the Billikens on the board in the first inning. The left fielder doubled to left center, which scored Alex King, and made it a 1-0 game This run proved to be the game winner.

Sniatynski swiped third base, his fourth consecutive game with a stolen base, to put another run 90 feet away. Jake Garella grounded out, which scored Sniatynski, and Saint Louis led 2-0 after a half inning.

Nick Reeser led-off the second with a double, one of his four hits on the day, and came around to score moments later. Griffin Robinson hit a sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 3-0.

Saint Louis added two in the third and put an exclamation point on the game in the sixth. Alex King notched an RBI single to right field, which scored Kyle Fletcher before Garella plated two more with a triple as the Billikens cruised to their 15th win of the season.

Sniatynski set a new career-high for stolen bases in a game with three, tying a Billiken record while Garella tied a career-high with four RBI in the game.

Aaron Case, Garella, Sniatynski and Reeser all finished with a multi-hit game.

Drew Reveno picked-up his fourth win on Sunday with a five inning outing. The junior allowed just one hit and tossed 75 pitches in an efficient performance. Colin Townsend entered in the ninth and struck-out the side in one of four solid relief pitching performances for the Billikens.

Aaron Patton allowed three hits and struck-out two while Charlie Sheehan and Connor Lehmann both tossed a hitless inning.

Saint Louis will now head home for a 10-game homestand it welcomes Eastern Illinois to the Billiken Sports Center on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
