Saint Louis fell 2-6 in Friday's series opener against St. John's.

The Red Storm took an early 1-0 lead in the third inning, and then they tacked on two more in the sixth. The Billikens were able to respond scoring two of their own in the sixth, but they couldn't get anymore after that.

Connor Lehmann threw 6.0 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out four.

Cam Redding had a two-hit game at the plate, going 2-4 with an RBI.

Shane Benes brought in his team-leading 16 RBI in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly.
