Saint Louis split the Thursday afternoon doubleheader with Fordham, taking game one 7-4 and falling in game two 1-3.

Ryan Lefner entered the game in relief of Connor Lehmann, inheriting runners on first and second with one out. He proceeded to strike out the final two hitters, earning career save number 23 and becoming SLU's career saves leader.

Lehmann finished two outs shy of going the distance in game one, throwing 8.1 innings while surrounding four runs on ten hits. The senior struck out a career- and Billikens season-high 12 Fordham batters.

Corrigan Bartlett was one of three Billikens who had two hits in the first game of the doubleheader. He finished the contest 2-4 with one RBI, one run scored and a walk.

Cole Dubet had his ninth multi-hit game of the year, going 2-5 with one RBI and one run scored.

Freshman Cam Redding also finished 2-5, and he had one run scored.

Jackson Wark started the second game of the afternoon for the Billikens. He threw 7.0 innings, giving up two earned runs on five hits and striking out eight.

Charlie Sheehan pitched a flawless inning in relief of Wark, striking out two of the three batters he faced.

Redding had his second two-hit game of the day, finishing game two 2-4 with one run scored. Overall on the day, the catcher went 4-9 with an RBI and two runs scored.

The Billikens and Fordham square off in the rubber match tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Bronx, N.Y. It will be Cody Luther on the mound for SLU. He hasn't given up a hit in his last 31 batters faced.
