Saint Louis split their doubleheader with UMass on Saturday, falling 6-7 in game one and winning game two 9-4.

The Billikens saw a 6-3 lead disappear in the ninth inning of game one, as Collin Shaprio walked it off with a 2-RBI single for his fourth hit of the game.

Senior Cole Dubet was one of five Billikens with two hits in the first game of the doubleheader. He finished the contest 2-5 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Also smacking two hits was Scott Youngbrandt (2-5, 2R), Jake Garella (2-4, RBI), Corrigan Bartlett (2-4) and Ben Livorsi (2-4, R).

Connor Lehmann started the game for the Bills, throwing 5.2 innings, giving up one earned run on five hits and striking out five.

Saint Louis took game two in the series, scoring nine runs despite only getting six hits.

Dubet finished the second game 1-4 with two runs scored.

Left-fielder Ryan Calhoun walked twice, but he came around to score both times.

Shane Benes gave the team some insurance runs when he drove in two with a single in the ninth inning.

Kevin Jordan also drove in two runs, going 1-3 in the day's second contest.

Cody Luther allowed three earned runs on five hits in 6.2 innings. He struck out seven Minutemen batters.

Jackson Wark earned his first save of the season, throwing 2.1 innings of relief, allowing just one hit and striking out three.

The rubber match between the Billikens and UMass is set for 11:00 a.m. CT Sunday morning.
