Box Score Saint Louis smacked 15 hits, including six doubles, in their 10-3 win over SIUE on Wednesday night. The Billikens split the season series with the Cougars and improved their record to 19-24 on the season.
SLU had a balanced offense all the way down their lineup, with eight of the nine starters recording at least one hit.
Shane Benes led the way, going 3-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Corrigan Bartlett also had three hits, finishing the night 3-5 with one run scored.
Clean-up hitter Braxton Stowe had a double in the contest, ending the night 2-4 with two RBIs and one run scored.
Cam Redding drove in three runs, bringing his total to 21 on the season.
On the mound, freshman Grant Fremion earned his second win on the year. He threw two innings and allowed just one hit.
Charlie Sheehan entered the game in relief of the starting pitcher Jack Spicer, and he worked his way out of a bases-loaded nobody out jam without giving up a run. Sheehan finished three innings of work allowing up just one hit and striking out two.
Colin Townsend, Ryan Patel and Ryan Surin each worked a scoreless inning of relief.
The Billikens are back in action this weekend for a three-game series against Rhode Island beginning Friday evening.
