Saint Louis smacked 20 hits, including four home runs, in their 18-6 win over the Rhode Island Rams on Friday night.

The Billikens came within one run of tying SLU's all-time record for runs in an inning, when they scored 12 in the bottom half of the third inning.

Eight of the nine starters for Saint Louis recorded at least one hit in the contest.

Jake Garella, Kevin Jordan and Ben Livorsi each had a three-run home run in SLU's big third inning. Garella ended the contest 2-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Jordan was 4-6 with four RBIs and one run scored. Livorsi wrapped up the game 2-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Braxton Stowe hit his second home run of the season in the seventh inning, and then he cleared the bases with a three-run double off the centerfield wall in the eighth. Stowe finished the night 3-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored.

Shane Benes drove in three runs, finishing the game 2-4 with three runs scored.

Connor Lehmann picked up his fourth win of the season, bringing his record to 4-4. He threw 6.0 innings, allowing one run on seven hits and striking out eight.

The Billikens and Rams are back in action on Saturday at 2 p.m. for game two of the weekend series.
